Mission Statement
The WCB Arts Foundation Inc. is a 501 c 3 California nonprofit corporation, headquartered in Santa Monica, California.
Our goal is to promote the benefits of watching and of understanding dance to the public at large. Thus, dance and her sister arts are a focus of the WCB Arts Foundation, Inc. We produce dance performance, seeking out new and experimental work by emerging artists in order to help nurture the future of dance. We also sponsor educational activities such as dance classes and lecture-demonstrations.
Community outreach is a primary goal of the Foundation as we seek to provide opportunities for people who would not ordinarily have the chance to participate in dance classes or to see dance performed. To these ends our organization will offer dance classes, lecture-demonstrations and performances free to community organizations and to the schools.
Providing a living wage to working artists is a fundamental goal of the Foundation. Artists working in association with the Foundation should expect to be paid commensurate with their experience and ability, as respected, functioning members of society.
